Hankook Tire participates in 2021 edition of Solutrans trade fair

Lyon, France, November 17, 2021 – For the 6th consecutive time, global leading tire company Hankook Tire is attending the 2021 edition of the Solutrans tradeshow, held at Eurexpo in Lyon, France from November 16 to 20. Hankook will present its new hybrid regional tires SmartFlex AH51 and SmartFlex DH51 as well as the company’s premium retread offer Alphatread. In addition, Laufenn, Hankook’s second brand, of which TBR tires were launched in 2020 will be shown.
This year, Hankook is expanding its SmartFlex range, with two fully new tires: SmartFlex AH51 for the steering axle and the SmartFlex DH51 for the drive axle. They cover a particularly wide range of applications from regional traffic to last mile distribution as well as long distance use and transport site approach, if required. They can be used all year round thanks to the 3PMSF certification.
The tires are particularly innovative and include Hankook's latest technology. The tread patterns have been carefully developed to provide high grip and mileage performance while being fuel efficient. At 40 percent wear, the interlocking 3D sipes are revealed and enhance the rigidity of the tread blocks, maintaining high levels of grip and reducing rolling resistance. The so-called "hidden" grooves appear when the tire is 70 percent worn and provide continuous wet traction and grip until the tire is completely worn.
In the development of both tires, the company's design engineers used the Hankook SmartLife concept, which particularly focuses on sustainability. The focus here is on the requirement for the products to always offer the highest possible performance from the first to the last millimetre of tread depth. Like all modern Hankook truck tires, the two new treads can be regrooved thanks to the additionally integrated rubber and are of course retreadable. In addition, the Hankook SmartLife Premium casing, in combination with the Hankook Premium retreading, ensures an increase in tire life and mileage of up to 250 percent and thus an even further increase in resource conservation and cost efficiency.
